Job summary

SmartStart Education, LLC is seeking a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher's Assistant to support high school students near Albany, NY. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 2pm, at a school nearby, with pay of $20 per hour.

You will assist the CTE teacher with instructional materials, provide one-on-one or small-group support, supervise students, and help with grading and administrative tasks. A high school diploma and at least six months of school experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months experience in a school or learning setting preferred.
• Familiarity with tools, equipment, and safety practices in a trades program.
• Comfortable communicating with students, colleagues and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support and help prepare materials for CTE lessons.
• Offer one-on-one or small-group assistance to students needing extra help.
• Supervise students during classroom activities and labs and ensure safety.
• Assist with grading, record-keeping and basic clerical tasks.
• Support student engagement and reinforce workplace etiquette.
