Qualifications

• Active Maine Radiologic Technology license or eligible license.
• ARRT certification required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures following department protocols.
• Explains CT procedures to patients clearly.
• Completes CT paperwork accurately and on time.
• Assists Front Office staff in verifying CT orders.
• Keeps up with current practices via literature review.
• Performs IV starts and manages contrast per protocol.
• Administers contrast material as needed for CT.
• Explains potential IV problems and contrast reactions to patients.
• Conducts daily, monthly, and quarterly quality control as required.
• Communicates examination results to Radiologists appropriately.
• Oversees inventory of medical and other supplies.
• Participates in quality management and data collection.
• Raises issues and proposes solutions to Imaging Services management.
• Maintains professional behavior at all times.
• Keeps CT equipment and processors running.
• Completes assigned CT duties efficiently.
• Attends departmental meetings as requested.
• Complies with laws and regulations.
