Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform CT and X-ray procedures under supervision. The role requires independent judgment, application of ionizing radiation techniques, and experience with contrast agents where needed.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or GED; graduate of accredited ARRT program.
• Two years of experience preferred (minimum).

Responsibilities

• Operate CT and X-ray equipment according to specifications (console, workstation, injector, reformatting, teleradiology).
• Adhere to infection control and safety practices.
• Follow radiation safety practices (coning, shielding, film badge monitoring) per guidelines.
• Produce high-quality images within established protocols.
• Maintain processors and diagnose processing problems; take appropriate action.
• Maintain patient records per department procedure.
• Assess patients for exams with proper documentation (orders, prior films, labs, pregnancy screen, history).
• Provide patient education relevant to the exam and document in records.
• Utilize RIS per department standards (order, arrive, start, complete, cancel, record complications, etc.).
• Attend department meetings and participate in training of staff and students.
