Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is hiring a X-Ray & Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to operate scanners, image patients, and support diagnostic workflows. You will guide patients through imaging steps, ensure safety, and maintain accurate RIS records in a fast-paced environment.

Required ARRT certification, AMA-approved radiography education, CPR, and CT technologist credentials. This is an on-site role in the United States with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of AMA approved radiography program and ARRT registered.
  • Current state radiologic technologist license as applicable.
  • CT technologist certification and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT and X-ray imaging with patient-centered care.
  • Screen and prepare patients, position them correctly, and explain procedures.
  • Operate scanners and adjust parameters to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Maintain patient records in the RIS and comply with safety regulations.
  • Support imaging protocol maintenance and assist with training as needed.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a X‑Ray & Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a X‑Ray & Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. This role provides scanning services within professional standards and consistently using a patient‑centered approach to provide excellent customer service. Patients come to our centers looking for answers. The X‑Ray & CT Technologist will kindly and patiently guide patients through each step of the sometimes‑difficult imaging process, while also answering their questions and addressing any concerns they may have throughout the exam procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient CT Imaging
  1. Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
  2. Explain and prepare patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged.
  3. Perform routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats, scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure.
  4. Adjust scanning parameters correctly and as needed, utilize dose‑reduction techniques as appropriate.
  5. Follow physicians' orders precisely; conforms to safety regulations and accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  6. Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  7. Maintain an orderly and clean work area, including the equipment, promoting good safety habits for patients and team members.
(5%) Scanning Department Support
  1. Assist with maintaining and updating imaging protocol manual, and software upgrades.
  2. Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
  3. Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable.
(5%) Other Duties as Assigned
  1. Complete other tasks and projects assigned.
Required:
  1. High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  2. Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
  4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  5. Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist certification.
  6. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  7. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform scanning procedures independently.
Preferred:
  1. Bilingual.
