Akumin Operating Corp. is seeking a Radiologic (X‑Ray) Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic exams and produce high‑quality images while complying with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities include operating X‑ray equipment, interfacing with radiologists, and maintaining image quality across multiple sites. ARRT certification and state licensure are required where applicable; CPR/BLS and ACLS as needed; travel to locations may be required.
As a Radiologic (X‑Ray) Technologist, you are required to produce diagnostic radiographic images for medical interpretation through administration of ionizing radiation. The technologist will independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in completing diagnostic exams, preparing, administering, and documenting activities related to contrast administration and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy. The position is accountable for performing the correct radiographic exams, producing high‑quality diagnostic images, and maintaining proficiency while complying with company policies and procedures.
The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during patient transport on a mobile unit, strong magnetic fields, and blood/body fluids and infectious disease. More than 50% of the time, sit, stand, walk, repeat movements of hands, arms, and legs, and see, speak, and hear to communicate with patients. Less than 50% of the time, stoop, kneel or crawl, climb and balance, and carry and lift non‑ambulatory patients.
