Qualifications

  • CT and X-ray imaging experience preferred (1 year each).
  • Knowledge of anatomy, radiology safety, and infection control.

Responsibilities

  • Position patients for CT and X-ray scans to ensure optimal images.
  • Perform regular warm-up sequences on radiology equipment to maintain functionality.
  • Sterilize radiologic equipment and follow infection control protocols.
  • Interpret and follow physicians' scanning instructions accurately.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents when required to enhance imaging.
  • Review scans for technical quality and accuracy, ensuring diagnostic quality.
  • Explain procedures to patients and address questions or concerns.
  • Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions to contrast agents.
  • Maintain radiology supplies inventory and report deficiencies.

Rad TechGreen Bay ER & Hospital is seeking a skilled CT/ X-Ray Radiologic Technologist (PRN) to join our team. As a CT/ X-Ray Radiologic Technologist, you will operate our advanced scanning equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images. Your commitment to patient care, safety, and technical excellence will be essential in delivering optimal imaging services.JOB TYPE: (PRN, Night-shift)RESPONSIBILITIES:Accurately position patients to ensure effective scanning of specific body areas.Conduct regular warm-up sequences on radiological equipment to maintain functionality.Sterilize radiologic equipment thoroughly to ensure patient safety and adhere to hygiene and infection control protocols.Interpret and follow physicians' written scanning instructions accurately.Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal structures during imaging.Review and evaluate scans to confirm they meet technical quality standards.Clearly explain scanning procedures to patients, offering reassurance and support as needed.Monitor patients during scanning procedures, identifying and responding to any allergic reactions to contrast agents.Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report any deficiencies.SKILLS:Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately interpret images.Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and medical terminology.Compassion and patience in dealing with diverse patient populations.Up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry developments and best practices in radiological technology.Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.EDUCATION:CT: 1 year (Required)X-ray: 1 year (Required)Hospital medicine: 1 year (Preferred)Emergency room: 2 years (Preferred)LICENSE:ARRT (R) Certification (Required)ARRT (CT) Certification (Required)Work Location: In person
