Job Summary
The CT Technologist I performs procedures according to departmental protocols, operating CT scanners and related equipment proficiently. Equipment includes scanners, post-processing stations, IV contrast injectors, oxygen and suction devices, patient transport, and monitoring equipment.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Moderate to heavy lifting, moving patients and equipment, with frequent standing, walking, and bending. Exposure to physical conditions like climbing stairs and working near moving equipment. Use radiation safety practices diligently.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Graduate from an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology. ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine, with an advanced registry in CT within one year of hire, plus current CPR certification.
