Position Title: CT Technologist - Part-time - Weekend Option

Shift: Part-time 6:30am - 7pm - Weekend Option
The CT Technologist is responsible for producing cross-sectional images for diagnosing disease processes. Procedures may be performed at various locations within the health system. The role involves ongoing training and education participation.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Act as a liaison for communication between departments and assist with approved special projects.
- Assist in developing continuing education strategies for the CT Department to support staff enrichment.
- Provide teaching and learning opportunities to fellow technologists and students.
- Ensure staff operate equipment safely and optimally by following policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Operate CT scanners and auxiliary devices within designated locations, maintaining safety and minimizing radiation exposure.
- Maintain organized patient flow, coordinate examinations efficiently, and minimize patient hospital stay.
- Have excellent knowledge of contrast reactions and responses, responding promptly to patient needs.
- Complete mandatory educational assignments as directed by supervisors.
- Perform routine CT procedures at high standards, with growing expertise in specialty studies.
- Set equipment parameters, assess and educate patients, prepare patients accurately, and provide venous access for contrast administration.

- Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring professional, clinical, and technical competencies.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or GED, or
- Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field from an accredited college.
- Experience with basic CT procedures.
- One or more years of experience in a large facility setting.
Required Licensure and Certification
- Computed Tomography (CT) - ARRT certification within 180 days.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) - Kansas Board of Healing Arts within 90 days.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) or BCLS - American Heart Association.
Preferred Licensure and Certification
- Radiography (R) - ARRT certification required to apply for CT.
Knowledge Requirements
- Advanced computer skills related to RIS, PACS, EMR.
