Job Description

  • This is a full-time position at 36 hours per week at Lake Forest Hospital. It is part of the Weekend Program, offering premium pay on top of base pay. The schedule includes 3 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Holidays are required when applicable. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for this role.

The CT Technologist Weekend role reflects NM's mission, vision, and values, adheres to the Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Position and immobilize patients on the examining table.
  • Administer contrast media (oral and/or IV) according to department policies, patient history, exam protocols, and physician orders, and follow post-exam instructions.
  • Enter technical data into the computer, such as scan type, slice thickness, and scan time.
  • Communicate with patients before and during procedures; monitor safety and comfort.
  • Review images to ensure quality; produce radiographs.
  • Perform CT equipment QA and maintain logs.
  • Handle clerical tasks including receiving orders, scheduling, and recordkeeping.
  • Maintain and clean work area and equipment; replenish supplies as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • ARRT certification
  • IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety certification
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • 2-3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent

Preferred:

  • ARRT registry in CT or MRI
  • 1 year of experience
