Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY, seeks a part-time Radiology assistant to support CT imaging under the supervision of a registered CT Technologist. You will position patients, ensure safety standards, and assist with imaging procedures in a dynamic clinical setting.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, assisting physicians, and handling contrast media per state and federal regulations. Strong attention to ALARA and safety is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Science or related field required upon hire.
• Licensure: RT(R) required upon hire for Radiology.
• ROC Certification in Radiation Operator required upon hire.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of employment.
• RT(CT) certification required within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist to position patients and select exposure factors.
• Utilize radiation protection and safety standards.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Assist the physician in imaging procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope.
• Set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures.
