Job Summary

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists are responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, acquiring and analyzing data for diagnosis, interpretation, and interventional or therapeutic procedures at the request of a licensed practitioner. CT Technologists independently perform or assist in the completion of these procedures, and prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with laws and policies.

Job Duties
  • Ensure correct order, proper patient identification, preparation, and confidentiality.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles.
  • Prepare and/or administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
  • Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage and transfer.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
  • Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures.
  • Perform prescribed CT procedures.
  • Demonstrate commitment to departmental and organizational priorities.
  • Be fully proficient in routine and complex duties.
  • Participate in quality or process improvement activities.
Position Details

Work is performed in a clinical environment. Responsibilities include complying with policies and performing essential job functions. Additional competencies may be outlined in departmental orientations.

Education & Experience

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required). Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum 2 years related experience required.
