An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated CT Technologist Trainee to join their dynamic team. This role involves participating in the daily operations of the CT Department, focusing on radiation safety and patient care. You will gain hands-on experience in performing CT procedures, including interventional cases and advanced imaging techniques. Under the direction of the Radiologist, CT Supervisor, and supervision of the Lead CT Technologist, participates in the daily operation of the CT Department with a focus on Radiation Safety, CT education, CT scan competencies and training to prepare for the CT Registry exam. Ultimately, the Trainee will be able to perform CT procedures in accordance with department protocols at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. The CT Technologist Trainee will, over time, be able to perform a variety of technical procedures including but not limited to interventional cases, CT Angiography, and advanced 3D reconstruction. These procedures require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply theoretical CT Scan knowledge into practice for providing the best possible imaging for the diagnosis. Additionally, the CT Technologist Trainee will receive training for the administration of IV, oral, and rectal contrast. The CT Technologist Trainee must be willing and able to contribute to the coverage of the CT department beyond normally scheduled hours. Responsible to maintain equipment and supplies, must maintain a clean and organized work area.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Lifting/carrying frequently up to 35 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Some stress related to high level of responsibility for quality care.
