Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Assess patients and safely perform routine CT procedures according to radiation safety protocols.
• Serve as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.

Education

Required: Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.

Work Experience

Preferred: CT experience.

Certifications

Required: ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and/or CT, or ARRT registry eligible with registration within 90 days, and a current state license and BLS certification. Advanced CT certification preferred within one year of eligibility.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient in computer skills, data entry, and retrieval.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of CT procedures and technical language.
• Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and be flexible with work hours.

Job Duties

• Verify physician orders.
• Explain procedures to patients.
• Operate imaging equipment independently.
• Ensure image quality and perform quality control.
• Assist with departmental operations.

Additional responsibilities include adapting to patient needs, maintaining safety standards, and complying with organizational policies.
