Position Summary

Performs patient care for CT scans and X-rays, ensuring accuracy and completeness of paperwork, including orders, lab work, and authorization. Monitors patient safety related to radiation and contrast doses.

Shift Details

T/W/F 7am - 9pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify orders and address any issues with Radiologist before procedures
• Proficiently operate CT and X-ray equipment, as well as injectors
• Manage paperwork, orders, and patient medical histories; correlate test results
• Perform IVs, oral contrast administration, and lab work as needed
• Monitor supplies and communicate with radiologists and IT staff

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification

• At least 2 years of radiology experience

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to perform procedures per departmental protocols
• Operate CT scanners, X-ray equipment, and contrast injectors
• Computer literacy and knowledge of CR programs
• Up-to-date with relevant regulations
• Ability to review patient history and allergies
• Effective communication with radiologists and referring physicians
• Report equipment malfunctions
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift 50-75 lbs.
• Positive communication skills and basic patient care abilities

• Full day walking and standing
• Lifting over 50 lbs.
• Varying hours, including weekends, and handling bio-hazardous materials
