A leading healthcare provider is seeking a CT Tech to prepare patients for imaging studies and operate CT equipment. This role requires documented training in CT and relevant certifications, providing a dynamic work environment and patient-focused care in a reputable organization.
SCOPE OF POSITION
The CT Tech performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for CT imaging studies on patients from neonates to geriatrics. This individual will operate the CT scanner and computer to produce images of specific areas to aid in diagnosis and treatment. The Tech shall communicate directly with Radiologists regarding CT scan protocols and sequences. The Tech shall provide patient instructions for the procedure and inject IV contrast for organ enhancement under the supervision of a licensed independent practitioner. The Tech is responsible for additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates must have documented training and experience in CT, including operating CT equipment, radiation physics, and protection. External hires must have at least one year of experience in CT applications. Candidates should have the willingness and aptitude to process computer-assisted images and learn cross-sectional anatomy. Passing an advanced CT certification exam is recommended but not required.
Valid and active ARRT registration in Radiography (R) and/or Computed Tomography (CT), and/or NMTCB registration (CNMT) is required.
AHA BLS certification is required.
