Job summary

Chippenham Hospital is hiring a CT Technologist to join our radiology team. You will obtain high-quality CT images, follow safety protocols, and assist radiologists with procedures. The role requires ARRT licensure within six months of hire and continues education credits as mandated.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology; continuing education credits required as mandated by ARRT for licensure.
• ARRT CT Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality CT images per established scanning protocols and adjust protocols as required.
• Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self; utilizes PPE; operates CT scanner safely and competently.
• Performs computer operations (e.g., Meditech); ensures proper charges and verifies referring physician orders.
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepares examination rooms for CT scans and invasive procedures; maintains room cleanliness and stock levels.
• Assists radiologist in administering medication and contrast agents, performing biopsies, and other patient care tasks.
• Reviews exams for technical accuracy and completes verification in PACS; assists with PACS cleanup.
