Job Summary and Qualifications
The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures using ionizing radiation in accordance with established professional and departmental standards. The CT Technologist provides high-quality CT images used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.
What you will do in this role
- Compassionately assist and position patients on the CT table.
- Start IVs for contrast injections when necessary.
- Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed.
- Provide patients with proper post-procedure instructions.
- Prepare the room between patients using aseptic technique and clean/sterilize equipment.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
What qualifications you will need
- Current license as an MRT by the State of Texas (required).
- Current ARRT (CT) certification (required).
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required).
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (required).
