Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology; familiarity with equipment, supplies, and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents assessment of the patient using information and patient input.
• Assists provider with examinations and procedures per scope of practice.
• Maintains current exam protocols and collaborates with radiology to follow updated protocols.
• Transcribes and implements provider orders and treatments; solves problems affecting patient care.
• Follows exam protocols to perform diagnostic imaging in the assigned area.
• Maintains competency and quality control; reviews QA reports and acts as indicated.
• Monitors equipment for malfunctions and coordinates repairs as needed.
• Performs administrative responsibilities per department procedures.

This position performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures and tasks required to ensure the assigned area runs smoothly and provides for the physical and psychological needs of patient during examination. Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program required.
• ARRT Certification in Radiology required. Current and valid Montana State license in Radiological Technology required.
• RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first; required
• Possess knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and instruments used in a medical office preferred.

Job Specific Duties:

• Performs and documents assessment of the patient utilizing available information and incorporating the patient's perception of illness/condition.
• Assists provider with examinations and procedures as directed and in accordance with established scope of practice as applicable to assigned area(s).
• Maintains an understanding of current exam protocols as applicable to assigned area(s). Works in collaboration with the radiology department to ensure the most up to date protocols are followed.
• Accurately and efficiently transcribes and implements provider orders and treatments. Consistently problem solves issues affecting patient care.
• Follows current exam protocols to perform diagnostic imaging procedures as applicable to assigned area(s).
• Maintains accountability to technologist competency/quality control standards. Reviews QA report and takes appropriate action as indicated.
• Assists with maintaining and coordinating repairs and services as needed. Monitors equipment for malfunction and alerts leadership per department procedures and protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).
• Performs administrative responsibilities per department procedure and protocol.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs.
