Job Summary:

The CT Technologist provides direct patient care by applying diagnostic imaging skills using CT scanning equipment. They assist in diagnosing and treating patients by producing diagnostic CT scans.

Essential Functions:

1. Confirm that all pertinent patient and procedural data is correct.
2. Perform computed tomography procedures.
3. Properly position and immobilize patients on CT scanning cradles.
4. Make radiation exposures by energizing the scanner.
5. Perform intravenous injections and administer oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contrast agents specific to procedures.
6. Assist radiologists with biopsies and drainage procedures.
7. Maintain knowledge of all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
8. Participate in on-call rotation and timeout as required.

Education:

• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred)

Licensure/Certification:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (preferred)
• Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred or must obtain within 2 years)
• State Licensure (preferred)

Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience as a CT or Radiologic Technologist (preferred)
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
• Experience with PACS (preferred)
