Job summary

Kootenai Health in Idaho is seeking a CT technologist to perform cross-sectional imaging using the CT scanner, ensuring patient safety and comfort while following departmental procedures. This position requires ARRT Radiography and/or NMTCB certification, CT certification within a year, AMA-approved radiology training, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology required; Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy may be considered
• ARRT certification in Radiography and/or Radiation Therapy, And/or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine
• CT certification within one year of employment required
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns
• Produces CT scanner radiographs of specified areas per departmental procedures
• Performs a variety of tasks and supports department under supervision
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance as an essential function
• Displays a degree of creativity and latitude in duties
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
• Performs other related duties as assigned
