Job summary

Select Medical, in partnership with Rush Specialty Hospital, is seeking a CT Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging. This position involves preparing patients, performing scans, and ensuring safety. Candidates must be experienced, certified, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
  • At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Job description

Schedule: Per Diem / PRN / Registry
Compensation: $50 per hour
Sign on bonus: $2,500

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
  • Use of proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
  • Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
  • Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
  • Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
  • Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
  • Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).
  • At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
  • Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.
