Job summary

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, part of the HCA Healthcare network, is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to join its radiology team at the Fredericksburg area facility. The role requires basic radiologic tech credentials and ARRT licensure with ongoing CE credits.

The position emphasizes quality CT imaging, patient safety, and collaboration with radiologists in a comprehensive medical center environment.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: Minimum 1 year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology.
• PREFERRED: At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
• REQUIRED: Graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality CT images and to perform CT Studies.
• Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates CT equipment safely.
• Demonstrates ability to perform all necessary computer operations.
• Render patient care in professional and courteous manner and always identifies patients utilizing the proper protocol.
• Prepare CT scanner and perform quality control tests.
• Assist the radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.
• Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
• Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients according to policy and procedure.
• Completes and maintains educational requirements
