Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures involving ionizing radiation, following professional and departmental standards. The role involves providing high-quality CT images for diagnosis and treatment, supporting a team that values patient care and mutual support.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist and position patients on the CT table compassionately.
• Start IVs for contrast injections when necessary.
• Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed.
• Provide post-procedure instructions to patients.
• Prepare and sterilize the room and equipment between patients.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications required:

• Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology preferred.
• Registered CT Technician (must be obtained within 1 year of employment).
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT), obtained within 1 year of employment.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• Two years of experience preferred, with additional CT training.
• On-call availability, able to report within 30 minutes of callback.
