Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a CT Technologist I in Matthews for PRN, part‑time scheduling. The role involves operating CT scanners, preparing patients, administering IV contrast, and coordinating with radiologists to ensure high‑quality imaging and patient safety.

You will rotate shifts including some on‑call periods and weekends as needed. Graduate of ARRT recognized Radiologic/NMTCB program with CT registry within one year is required; BLS is also required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders; refers to radiologist for discrepancies.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Collect medical history and review EMR to obtain pertinent data.
• Perform CT scanning from start to finish, including post‑processing as needed.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per departmental protocol; document as required.
• Evaluate image quality and consult radiologist for additional imaging needs.
• Provide basic patient care and assist in code blue and emergencies.
• Operate radiology computer systems and document contrast administration in MAR.
• Maintain a clean, stocked work area and assist anesthesia as needed.
