Job Summary:

Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. This position must perform at least 3 of the following procedures: biopsy, TAVR, coronary, watchman, extremity work for OR planning, ablations or fiducial placement.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements.
  • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Works in a safe, alert manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
  • Associate's degree or completion of a Radiology certification program or registered in Radiology.
Experience:
  • No experience required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech for communication.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and data entry.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying objects 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional use of vision to distinguish colors.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, repetitive movements.
  • Rare kneeling and sitting.
Required Professional License and/or Certifications:

Locations: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • ARRT-R Radiography or ARRT-T Radiation Therapy or ARRT-CT Computed Tomography or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) Certification - ARRT or NMTCB
  • Additional state-specific licenses and credentials as listed.
