Qualifications

• Minimum of six months experience in Radiology and/or CT.

Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs other diagnostic imaging dependent upon registration/certification.

Reports to:

Director Diagnostic Services

Responsibilities include:

1. Reviewing patient history and physician's orders.
2. Educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
3. Preparing and administering contrast media and/or medications when ordered and within scope of practice.
4. Monitoring patient condition continually and responding to changes appropriately.
5. Preparing equipment and supplies.
6. Implementing safety standards and performing quality control procedures on equipment.
7. Troubleshooting, resolving, and reporting equipment malfunctions.
8. Positioning patients and performing imaging procedures.
9. Analyzing results and identifying issues with image quality.
10. Repositioning patients and repeating procedures to resolve image quality issues.
11. Entering, transmitting, and reporting scan results.

Minimum Education:

Graduate of a Radiology Program required.

Required Skills:

• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications: BLS required upon hire or within 90 days.
• License: Registered and in good standing with ARRT in Radiology or eligible; CT certification preferred.
• Minimum of six months experience in Radiology and/or CT; willing to learn if no CT experience.
