Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a CT Technologist – PRN to operate CT equipment in an overnight PRN role, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging and strict adherence to safety and department policies.

The position requires ARRT CT certification, ARRT radiography credentials, and BLS. May participate in training and department activities and support ongoing performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA-approved school
• Registered by ARRT (R)(CT) in Radiography and ARRT (CT)
• Registered by ADHS in Radiography (R) and CT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Shift: as needed PRN overnight-shift role during the week and weekends.
• Operate all routine CT equipment in a safe and proficient manner.
• Abide by and enforce all compliance requirements and policies; perform responsibilities ethically.
• Produce high quality images with a minimum of repeats.
• Handle multiple room assignments and all different types of exams (diagnostic and interventional CT).
• Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist with day-to-day department activities (clerical duties, inventory, stocking, light housekeeping).
• May participate in training and orientation of other employees.

Responsibilities

• Operate all routine Computerized Tomography equipment in a safe and proficient manner.
• Abide by and enforce all compliance requirements and policies; perform responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization's values; demonstrate initiative and independent judgment.
• Produce high quality images with a minimum of repeats.
• Handle multiple room assignments and all different types of exams (diagnostic and interventional CT) on a daily basis.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Job Qualifications

• Experience: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA-approved school.
• Education: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography, ARRT (R) (CT).
• Registered by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) in Radiography (R), Computerized Tomography (CT).
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
