Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Radiology CT Technologist to perform CT scans, ensure patient safety, and maintain accurate records across the EMR and PACS systems.

The role emphasizes infection control, patient education, and operating imaging equipment safely for patients of all ages. ARRT RT(R) certification and BLS are required, with an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Technologist – Radiography (ARRT RT(R)) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification is required.
• Florida background screening may apply depending on unit/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Practice infection control standards and use approved PPE and disinfectants.
• Follow department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to exams.
• Maintain accurate EMR and PACS documentation in a timely manner.
• Educate patients about the exam and complete all exams efficiently to maintain workflow.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

Job Description:

• Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

Education:

Work Experience:

• 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of CT training program [Preferred]
