Envision Imaging in Utah seeks a PRN CT Technologist to perform CT and X-ray exams with patient-centered care and safety. The role involves operating CT and radiology equipment, adjusting exposure factors, and coordinating with Radiologists for high-quality images.

Responsibilities include patient education, chart reviews, and equipment maintenance. This PRN position offers flexible shifts across Bountiful and Draper locations with competitive hourly pay and strong benefits when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Interface with patients to obtain medical history and explain procedures.
• Review charts for missing info and consent; screen for implants/contrast allergies.
• Acquire prior films and perform high-quality CT/X-ray scans.
• Monitor patient care during and after exams and notify if conditions change.
• Transfer images to other locations as needed and coordinate with Radiologist.
• Maintain equipment and report quality concerns or failures.

Envision Imaging is looking for a PRN CT Technologist to join our team in Utah!

PRN (As-Needed) | Position Pay Range $35.96 - $44.63

Shifts available between both Bountiful and Draper locations

Summary/Objective

The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs various types of diagnostic X-Ray procedures and CT examinations. Adjusts equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure and positions patient. Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation and cross-sectional anatomical scans using proper technical factors and computer programs to provide image and numerical values of tissue density. Assists in assigned examination utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations.

Essential Functions

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years' experience in Computed Tomography (CT) – preferred
• Two plus years' experience in X-Ray- preferred
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
• Ability to continuously "exceed" company and customer expectation
• Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
• Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Registry in Radiography (R)
• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
• Current CPR certification
