Job summary

Envision Imaging in Utah is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to join our team. The role offers shift coverage across Bountiful and Draper locations with competitive hourly pay.

This position requires CT and X-ray experience, patient education abilities, and a proactive, team‑oriented approach in a fast‑paced outpatient setting. PRN status means variable hours based on patient need and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Two plus years of CT experience preferred.
• Two plus years of X-Ray experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provide instructions for best image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed information and consent.
• Obtains prior films and performs high quality scans for Radiologist interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient care and notifies if condition changes.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and inspects equipment and reports issues.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager on concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Envision Imaging is looking for a PRN CT Technologist to join our team in Utah!
PRN (As-Needed) | Position Pay Range $35.96 - $44.63
Shifts available between both Bountiful and Draper locations

Summary/Objective:

The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs various types of diagnostic X-Ray procedures and CT examinations. Adjusts equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure and positions patient. Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation and cross-sectional anatomical scans using proper technical factors and computer programs to provide image and numerical values of tissue density. Assists in assigned examination utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations.

Essential Functions

1. Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.

2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.

3. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.

4. Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.

5. Transfers images to other locations as needed.

6. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.

7. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.

8. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years’ experience in Computed Tomography (CT) – preferred
• Two plus years’ experience in X-Ray- preferred
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation

Education/Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
• Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Registry in Radiography (R)
• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
• Current CPR certification
