Job summary

Indiana University Health System's Bedford Hospital is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to cover PTO and call-ins. You will perform diagnostic CT procedures across pediatric to geriatric patients, following physician instructions and preparing and operating equipment to obtain the requested images.

Must hold BLS, ARRT CT or NMTCB CNMT CT certification within 12 months of hire, and an Indiana license as Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Credentialing: ARRT RT(R) or NMTCB CNMT, CT specialty within 12 months.
• Active Indiana radiologic or nuclear medicine technologist license.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic CT procedures for patients from pediatric to geriatric.
• Follows physician instructions, prepares and operates equipment, and positions patients correctly.
• Records diagnostic images with care and respect for patients.

Education

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

ARRT CT RN? RT(R) or NMTCB CNMT

CT certification within 12 months of hire (ARRT or NMTCB)

Indiana license as Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job description

This is a PRN CT Technologist position located at Bedford Hospital. The candidate would fill in for PTO and call ins.

Performs diagnostic procedures, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.

• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Requires active status through one of the following: American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT): Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) or Nuclear Medicine, RT(NM); or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB): Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
• Requires advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT) through ARRT or NMTCB within 12 months of hire.
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• Requires current Indiana State Department of Health license as Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
