Envision Imaging is seeking a PRN CT Technologist at our Allen, TX location. The ideal candidate will perform CT examinations, patient positioning, and maintain equipment in a clinical environment. This position offers a competitive pay range of $35.35 - $45.57 per hour.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in Computed Tomography, current ARRT certification, and the ability to educate patients about procedures. Company benefits include a matched 401k plan and employee stock ownership.

Envision Imaging seeks a PRN CT Technologist at our Allen/Wylie/Plano, TX location!
PRN (As-Needed) | Position Pay Range: $35.35 - $45.57

Summary/Objective:

The CT Technologists perform CT examinations, position patient, and conduct cross-section anatomical scans using proper technical factors and computer programs to provide image and numerical values of tissue density.

Essential Functions

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years’ experience in Computed Tomography (CT) – preferred
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation

Education/Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
• Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
• Current CPR certification
