Job summary

IU Health seeks a CT Technologist to operate CT scanners, position patients, and administer contrast while ensuring safety and high-quality imaging. The role requires collaboration with radiologists and physicians, strict adherence to radiation safety, and EMR documentation.

Minimum 0–3 years of experience, AHA BLS, and ISDH license/ARRT or NMTCB certification are required. Advanced CT certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by AHA.
• Active license/registration: ISDH Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Advanced CT certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT scanner and adjusts protocols to address clinical concerns.
• Positions patients and administers contrast as required.
• Obtains IV access and recognizes/ad monitors adverse contrast events.
• Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians.
• Follows radiation safety protocols and performs routine QC on equipment.
• Documents necessary information in EMR and assists in procedures as needed.
