Job summary

Bell Hospital in Missouri seeks a CT Technologist to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes across multiple health system locations. You will operate CT scanners and related devices, ensure the lowest reasonable radiation dose, and support radiologists and staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, providing patient education, participating in continuing education, mentoring students, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Experience performing basic CT procedures desirable.
• 1+ year of large facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between departments for approved special projects.
• Assists in developing continuing education strategies for the CT Department.
• Provides teaching and learning opportunities to technologists and students.
• Ensures staff operate equipment safely and according to policies.
• Operates CT scanners and related devices with radiation dose optimization.
• Coordinates examinations to minimize patient stay and maintain flow.
• Responds to contrast reactions and emergencies.
• Completes mandatory educational assignments as directed by supervisors.
• Performs routine CT procedures at high standard and supports specialty studies.
• Sets equipment parameters, assesses patients, and prepares and administers contrast.
• Supports KU Hospital's mission and world-class status.
