Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT imaging and create detailed cross-sectional images for radiologists to interpret. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, with cross-sectional anatomy coursework.
• One year of work experience at the senior level or an equivalent combination of experience/education.
• ARRT Registered Radiography (on hire).
• Basic Life Support (CPR) on hire.
• WA Medical Radiographer license on hire.
• Preferred: One year of experience as a CT Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Operates diagnostic CT studies and equipment including GE CT scanners and workstations; follows formal protocols and explains procedures to patients.
• Delivers patient care for all ages, acting as liaison between patient and radiologist; responds to emergencies.
• Communicates with nursing staff regarding changes in condition; documents care notes and incident forms; ensures patient comfort and minimizes radiation exposure.
• Performs incidental office duties to maintain records; enters data and codes on billing sheets.
• Performs QA audits and activities as assigned.
• Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and competence in communication with diverse patient populations.
