Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a qualified CT Technologist to perform CT scans with precision and adherence to radiology protocols. The role includes obtaining patient history, selecting factors to optimize images, and ensuring accurate documentation and PACS readiness.

Responsibilities include managing patient flow, IV access for contrast, and training new staff while maintaining equipment and safety standards. An ARRT registry and Indiana license are required with current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or professional radiography training from an accredited program.
• ARRT certification and Indiana State X-Ray license; CPR certification required.
• CT registry with ARRT within 6 months of eligibility to maintain position.
• 1–2 years radiography experience; CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history to ensure proper procedure.
• Operate CT equipment and optimize image quality.
• Follow department protocols; collaborate with radiologist.
• Explain CT steps to patients and obtain consent.
• Start IV for contrast media and monitor during injections.
• Manage patient flow and room readiness; coordinate with team.
• Train new CT staff and student shadowing.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
