Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to perform diagnostic CT scans with emphasis on patient safety and quality imaging. You will greet patients, position them for exams, and ensure comfort and care throughout the procedure.

The role requires ARRT Radiographer certification and a High School Diploma or equivalent, with CT experience preferred. Duties include training staff, maintaining compliance, and collaborating with the CT department team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; ARRT Radiographer certification.
• Minimum experience: 1 year in radiology, CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patient and explain exam.
• Prepare and position patient for x-ray or CT exam.
• Ensure patient safety and provide radiologic care.
• Produce high-quality X-ray/CT images.
• Assist with student and staff training.
• Maintain compliance and complete duties before clocking out.
• Engage with patients and families professionally.

Summary

Performs high-quality diagnostic and accurate CT scans of patients while maintaining patient safety.

Responsibilities

1. Introduces and greets patient.
2. Responsible for the care and safety of patients.
3. Instructs and prepares patient for x-ray and or fluoroscopic exam.
4. Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions, and shields patient accordingly.
5. Produce high-quality x-rays.
6. Assists with training students and ancillary personnel.
7. Interacts professionally with patients and family.
8. Completes all work before clocking out and leaving.
9. Attends annual hospital review (compliance) and departmental in‑services meetings as scheduled.
10. Practices medicine and surgical aseptic procedures.
11. Proficient in either mammography, operating room or another specialty modality.
12. May lead, coach, and mentor staff members.
13. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Certifications Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Continuing education, 24 CEU credits for license.
• Credentials: ARRT,Radiographer

Minimum Experience

• Minimum Experience: one year
• Desired: Experience with patient care in a radiology setting. CT Scan experience preferred.
