61st Street Service Corporation is seeking a CT Radiology Technologist to join ColumbiaDoctors’ regional network in White Plains, NY. You will perform CT imaging, review requests, guide patients, and ensure image quality for radiologist interpretation.

The role requires NYS license and ARRT/CT certification, a current BLS, and strong communication and organizational skills. Multiple sites and weekend coverage are included in a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; CT radiology technologist credentialing required.
• New York State license and ARRT/CT certification are required.
• BLS certification must be current at hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with patients, visitors, vendors, and faculty and staff.
• Perform CT studies and general radiological procedures with proper patient positioning.
• Review imaging requests for appropriateness and coordinate with radiologists and referring physicians as needed.
• Ensure diagnostic image quality before submission for interpretation and provide patient explanations.
• Operate and maintain CT equipment daily and keep logs for PM and QA activities.
• Complete clerical tasks related to image acquisition, processing, and archiving.
• Provide coverage across multiple sites and flexible schedules, including weekends.

Job Summary:

The CT Radiology Technologist will work in a collaborative environment to provide superior patient care. The incumbent will perform all duties associated with acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation, and archiving CT images, and will be responsible for the care of the patient while in the CT area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet and interact with patients, visitors, vendors, and all faculty and staff.
• Perform CT studies and general radiological procedures:
  • Review imaging requests for appropriateness based on clinical information provided. Review all questionable orders with the radiologist and, at the radiologist’s discretion, the referring physician.
  • Position patient and select appropriate options to ensure best-case imaging.
  • Observe patient while in the CT area for change in status and make appropriate intervention or contact primary care givers for instruction.
  • Judge diagnostic quality of finished medical images prior to submission to radiologist for interpretation.
  • Offer detailed explanation of diagnostic procedures to patients and answer questions as appropriate.
• Operate and maintain equipment on a daily basis, maintaining logbooks with equipment performance data: schedule PM, perform QA, maintain records required for and participate in inspections.
• Perform clerical responsibilities associated with acquisition, processing, and archiving of patient records.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalency.
• A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, including operating PETCT equipment.
• NYS License, ARRT/CT certified.
• Current BLS required.
• Must have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a strong ability to deescalate stressful situations.
• Candidate must demonstrate strong aptitude for detail, flexibility, punctuality, and ability to work independently.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Must be able to make sound judgments and execute the appropriate actions based on the needs of patients and knowledge of facility policies and procedures.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills including, but not limited to, Electronic Health Systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, email systems, etc.
• Will provide coverage as requested throughout practices as needed (multiple sites and flexible schedule including weekends).

Hourly Rate Ranges: $56.85 - $77.09

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education.
