Position Summary

The CT Technologist, under supervision, uses CT scanners to produce images for diagnosis. Responsibilities include interpreting instructions, administering contrast, preparing equipment, positioning patients, sending images for interpretation, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist (preferred).
• Valid New York State radiology registration.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• CT certification within one year of hire.

Work Environment and Conditions

Exposure to radiation, noise, infectious diseases, and bloodborne pathogens. OSHA Category I environment. Medium physical work involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Compensation

Pay Range: $45.00/hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
