Performs CT scans of designated anatomy using professional judgment while imaging with regard to technical quality according to physician specifications. Provides courteous and professional delivery of CT technical exams and procedures while adhering to radiation safety precautions. Supports patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality regarding PHI and HIPPA related information.
Technical School Diploma Graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent orCNMT, RT(CT) Certified Less than 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist Ability to provide proper patient care essential to radiologic procedures.
Knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting to various protocols. Proficient use of the advanced software for CT scanning and post procedure processing applications. Associate’s Degree Graduate of Health Science program Knowledge and skills to perform venipuncture.
Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
