CT Technologist - Part Time - Sign on Bonus $5,000

Position Details
  • Employment Type: Part time
  • Shift: Rotating Shift (2nd and 3rd shifts, rotating holidays and weekends, multiple scheduling options)
  • Department: Main CT
  • Location: Ypsilanti, MI

Contingent positions available. Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for eligible new hires. Registered radiologic technologists without prior CT experience can be hired and trained in CT under the bonus terms.

Position Purpose

Operates CT scanners to obtain diagnostic images, prepares patients, administers contrast media, and follows safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered care considering age, developmental, and cultural needs.
  • Review patient charts and determine proper protocol.
  • Ensure correct patient identification, positioning, and immobilization.
  • Explain procedures and provide reassurance.
  • Operate CT equipment and perform quality control.
  • Administer contrast media and monitor reactions.
  • Document patient information and communicate with physicians.
  • Observe patient during exams and respond to emergencies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and follow infection control procedures.
  • Adhere to radiation safety regulations.
  • Schedule exams efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent experience.
  • ARRT(R) registered radiographer.
  • Advanced CT certification or CT registry-eligible (within one year).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Preferred: experience in trauma/stroke centers, venipuncture, post-processing, cardiac CTA, CT-guided procedures.
