Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year experience as a registered Computed Tomography Technologist required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification required.
  • Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(CT) license required.

CT Technologist

Under the direction of the Department Director/Manager/CT Lead, the Computed Tomography Technologist is responsible for producing quality diagnostic images of human anatomy and vascular structures following prescribed protocols.

  • Performs examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner to promote the services offered at the facility.
  • Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
  • Demonstrates radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self, as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintains equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Possesses effective communication skills to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulatory requirements. Able to present information and respond to questions effectively.
  • Applies reasoning skills to carry out instructions, solve practical problems, and interpret instructions in various forms.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, including The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR), and Title 22 standards.
  • Follows hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Relates well to clinical personnel, medical staff, and the public.
  • Performs CT exams independently and follows physician’s orders.
  • Accesses patency of IV sites before injections and reviews lab values to pull related exams for radiologist viewing.
