Job description

Envision Imaging seeks a Part-Time CT Technologist at our Dallas, TX location!
Mondays 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM at Old Town and Fridays 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM at Dallas
Position Pay Range: $34.05 - $43.92 | $1,000 sign-on bonus to eligible hires

Summary/Objective:

The CT Technologist performs CT examinations, positions patients, and performs cross-section anatomical scans using proper technical factors and computer programs to provide image and numerical values of tissue density.

Essential Functions:

  1. Interfaces with patients to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanations of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
  2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
  3. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high-quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
  4. Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following the exam and notifies the appropriate party if the patient’s condition changes at any time.
  5. Transfers images to other locations as needed.
  6. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
  7. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
  8. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • Two plus years’ experience in Computed Tomography (CT) – preferred
  • Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectations
  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Education/Certifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
  • Current CPR certification

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

None required for this position.
