Overview

Under general supervision, performs routine and specialized CT imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Execute basic clinical competence in CT: Perform CT procedures across all locations and patient types. Select accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis. Follow dose reduction principles (Image Wisely/Image Gently). Administer contrast as per facility policy.
2. Apply knowledge of CT principles: Understand anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, physics, patient positioning, and patient care. Comply with regulatory standards.
3. Document patient care: Record activities accurately in electronic health records.
4. Maintain a safe work environment: Manage supplies and inventory, report equipment issues, follow quality control procedures.
5. Participate in performance improvement: Engage in initiatives to improve workflows, patient experience, and quality. Contribute to training and education activities.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate degree or Certificate in radiologic technology from an accredited program recognized by USDE or CHEA.

Experience

• Minimum one year experience in CT required.

Licensures/Certifications

• Registered with ARRT in Radiography (R).
• Licensed Radiographer in Maryland.
• CT Registry preferred but not required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Compensation

Pay Range: $35.08 - $52.64
