Schedule: Full-time

Shift: Thurs-Sat 7am-8pm

The role you’ll contribute:

Under general supervision, perform neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnosis, and updating the hospital computer system. Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships, implementing the principles of Florida Hospital.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Perform exams using FH CT protocols, ensuring proper patient identification, educating patients, screening for contrast allergies, and administering contrast as needed.
  • Complete exams promptly, maintain workflow, minimize empty table time, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Operate all imaging equipment safely, perform scans on all ages, and adapt protocols as necessary.
  • Screen patients of childbearing age, minimize radiation exposure, follow infection control standards, and maintain a clean, organized room. Perform QA on CT scanners. May include hazardous waste transport, requiring initial and refresher training on safety and handling procedures.
  • Review all images, re-taking as necessary for optimal results.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and State of Florida registration, current and in good standing
  • (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer (CT)
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • CT or Radiological Technology
  • Graduate of AMA-approved radiography school
  • Prior CT experience on GE/Phillips scanners
