Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista seeks a CT technologist to operate CT equipment and produce cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation in an outpatient setting. The role includes bone densitometry, general radiography, and fluoroscopy as needed.

Candidates should have an ARRT CT certification, CA radiologic tech licensure, and BLS. The position requires adherence to HIPAA and ongoing equipment calibration and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information; ensures the integrity of patient images and data while adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions in an outpatient setting. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including bone densitometry, general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions:
