Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment and produce diagnostic images in an outpatient setting. You will utilize PACS, maintain patient records, and ensure HIPAA compliance while supporting radiologist interpretations.

The role requires ARRT CT certification, CA Radiologic Tech licensure, BLS, and fluoroscopy licensure if applicable; CT certification in OR/HI is preferred. Join a busy imaging department with strong teamwork and patient care focus.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification required (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT)).
• Radiologic Tech in CA required.
• Advanced CT certification preferred in CA; required in OR/HI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Fluoroscopy license required in CA if operating fluoroscopy equipment.
• Venipuncture certification preferred in CA/OR.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images for interpretation.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologists.
• Uses PACS to transfer images and maintain records and billing information.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Performs routine maintenance/calibration of equipment and manages supplies.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions in an outpatient setting. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including bone densitometry, general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Essential Functions

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information.
• Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
