Qualifications

Position Details
  • Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER
  • Biweekly Hours: 60.00
  • Shift: 5 12-hour shifts per pay period, rotating 7p-7a with every other Sunday
  • Call: Yes
  • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 for external applicants
Overview

Gain excellent, well-rounded experience as a CT TECH at a LEVEL 1 Trauma Center! MetroHealth, an academic medical center in Cleveland, Ohio, supports all training and clinical development. Key Skills and Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, including neuro, MSK, abdominothoracic, and cardiac anatomy
  • Performing IV starts and producing quality CT images
  • Assisting with CT-guided procedures such as biopsies, drain placements, and tumor ablations
  • Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
  • Educating patients about procedures and equipment to ensure comfort
  • Applying critical thinking and effective communication skills in high-stress situations
  • Working independently and as part of a team
Team Collaboration

CT staff collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other care team members to provide optimal care.

Accreditations and Equipment
  • All CT scanners are ACR accredited, including Siemens edge, dual source Force, Fuji 256 ED, and GE PET scanners
  • Technologists are credentialed through ARRT
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT
  • ARRT CT credential or obtained within one year of employment
  • Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH)
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtained within probationary period
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of related experience and advanced ARRT certification in CT
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently
  • Lift, pull, or push over 50 lbs if necessary
  • Extended periods of sitting or standing
  • Normal vision and hearing with or without correction
