The role you’ll contribute:

Under general supervision, your primary duties include imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system up to date. The CT technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service, maintains respectful relationships, and implements the principles of the facility.

Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities:

1. Keep Room Service cold side stocked, cleaned, and organized.
2. Perform all exams using established protocols, properly identify patients, educate patients about exams, and screen for contrast allergies.
3. Complete exams in a timely manner, maintain workflow, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
4. Operate imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and other medical equipment. Adapt protocols for patients of all ages.
5. Screen patients of childbearing age, minimize radiation exposure, practice infection control standards, and maintain a clean, organized room. Perform vendor-required QA on CT scanners. May include transport of pharmaceutical waste, following proper handling and disposal procedures.

Review all images, repeat as necessary, and notify physicians of emergent findings according to protocol. Use computer systems for managing exams, ensuring correct order and documentation.
