The role you’ll contribute:

Under general supervision, the primary duties include imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and updating the hospital computer system with exam progress. The CT technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service, maintains respectful relationships, and implements the principles of the facility.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep Room Service cold side stocked, cleaned, and organized.
• Perform all exams using established protocols, properly identify patients, educate them about the exam, and screen for contrast allergies.
• Complete exams efficiently, communicate with patients, and coordinate transportation.
• Operate all imaging equipment safely, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for all ages.
• Screen patients of childbearing age, minimize radiation exposure, practice infection control, and maintain clean, organized rooms. Perform vendor-required QA on CT scanners. May include transport of pharmaceutical waste following proper procedures.
• Review all images, repeat as necessary, and notify physicians of emergent findings per protocol. Use computer systems for exam management, ensuring accuracy before transmitting images.

• Associate's Degree or Technical degree in a related field
